  About Tech Prep

Tech Prep is a collective group of high schools, colleges, and businesses that combines academic and technical courses with career training to prepare high school students for college and high-demand, high-pay technical careers. 

     
Here’s how:
 

Get a Head Start on College:
•  Students have the opportunity to earn college credit in high school at no cost to the student. 

•  Career plans and academic programs are designed by colleges, high schools, government and industry working together to help you succeed.  

 

Before or during your Sophomore year in high school:

• Review the list of Tech Prep programs available in your school district

• Consult with your high school Guidance Counselor 

• Visit the Tech Prep program that you're  interested in and talk with the instructors

• Enroll in the Tech  Prep program prior to your Junior year in high school 

 
 

Prepare for an Exciting Career:  Go to Program Listings
•  Tech Prep offers many programs in: Agriculture & Environmental Services, Business & Administrative Services, Finance, and Marketing, Construction Technologies, Education & Training, Engineering & Science and Manufacturing, Health Science, Information Technology (Arts & Communication Incl.), Law & Public Safety, and Transportation Systems

•  Tech Prep students learn usable skills through the kind of training demanded by business and industry, using state of the art technology and equipment.

   
 

College and Career Options:
As a  Tech Prep high school graduate you can: 
•  Use your Tech Prep training to get a job, or  
•  Enter an Apprenticeship program, or  
•  Enroll with one of our college partners to complete 
    your Associate or Baccalaureate Degree.
